Homeowner ratings and feedback are at the core of MyTradesShop. Building a strong bank of positive reviews highlights your craftsmanship, boosts your professional reputation, and helps you win more quotes against local competition.

How to Request & Collect Customer Reviews

We automatically send prompt reminders to job posters once a project is marked finished. You can accelerate feedback collection using these steps:

  • Update Job Status: Head to your Purchases Page and mark completed jobs as finished. This triggers an automated review invite to the homeowner.
  • Ask Directly Upon Completion: Mention the importance of public feedback to the customer before leaving the job site. Homeowners who experience great service are usually happy to post a quick review.

Viewing Your Current Reviews

Whenever a client posts new feedback on your profile, our system sends an automated email notification with a direct link to the entry. You can also view and track your complete rating history at any time by navigating to My Account > My Reviews in your dashboard.

Responding to Customer Reviews

We encourage tradespeople to reply to incoming feedback—both positive and constructive. Writing thoughtful responses demonstrates strong customer care to future prospects.

To post a public reply, visit your My Reviews page, select the entry, and enter your response. Note: All replies must abide by community guidelines. Unprofessional language, abusive comments, or personal attacks are strictly prohibited.

Disputing Inaccurate or Unfair Reviews

To protect the integrity of our community feedback system, we do not remove reviews simply because they express a negative opinion. However, we will investigate and edit or remove reviews under the following circumstances:

  • The review contains abusive language, profanity, or personal harassment.
  • The review discloses private personal information (doxxing).
  • You can provide clear documentary evidence (e.g., text messages, signed contracts, or emails) demonstrating that the review contains false factual statements.

If you receive a review that breaches these standards, please reach out to our support team with supporting documentation so our compliance team can review the case.
